After voting rights, the second major issue we all face is the climate crisis. We need to enact the New Green Deal and take the path of climate action and sustainable economic development.

First up, the new voting rights act is desperately needed to block the numerous suppression efforts now underway in states across the country, which pose an even greater threat to democracy than the attempted violent overthrow of January 6.

In current US politics you can’t be for voting rights, climate action, and social equity while at the same time supporting the filibuster. It is time to decide where we stand.

I’m trying to keep on top of things by checking my to-do list every morning, but so far this has just meant adding more items which aren’t getting done.
